The Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) has cautioned the public against engaging with 23 investment firms and platforms operating online and across social media without the required regulatory approval to offer investment products in Ghana.
In a public notice issued on July 22, 2026, the Commission said investigations had established that the listed entities were not licensed to conduct capital market activities as required under Section 3 of the Securities Industry Act, 2016 (Act 929), as amended.
The affected entities are AfriHub, BG Wealth, BP Investment, Creative Walker Promotion Company (CWPC), Dallmayr, Expert (Expect) Option, GAIP Securities Learning & Exchange Group, Ghana Vest, Harvest Fund, Infarms/Secure Farm, Kukafor Platform, Mazzuma, Medisyne Trade, NIO Platform, Profit Rise Invest, QuantVest Stock Exchange (QVSE), QVES, QX Broker/Qumatix, Smart Gain, Yepbit Trading, ZEC ZEC FX, Bonchat, and Ultima Cryptocurrency Group.
According to the SEC, none of these organisations has been authorised to operate within Ghana’s capital market despite advertising and promoting investment opportunities to the public through digital platforms.
The Commission disclosed that it is working closely with law enforcement agencies to identify and take action against the individuals and groups behind the unlicensed operations. It also urged the public to exercise caution and avoid investing money with any of the listed entities.
