Amid public speculation and online gossip following the death of Highlife legend Daddy Lumba, his longtime manager, Roman Fada, has stepped forward to dispel claims of conflict between the late musician’s two wives.
In a video, Roman Fada, whose real name is Philip Kwabena Agyeman, appeared beside both Akosua Serwaa and Odo Broni to set the record straight. He dismissed the surge social media rumours suggesting the two women were feuding.
“My bosses, Akosua Serwaa and Odo Broni, are here. Ignore the rumours on social media about the two of them fighting… Daddy Lumba was a man of peace… We are all for unity and peace,” he stated.
The remarks came as online tensions intensified, with fans debating which of the women should be recognized as the “official” wife entitled to perform traditional widowhood rites. These debates gained traction after a family gathering where Fada introduced both women, an act that some interpreted as giving preferential treatment to Odo Broni over Akosua Serwaa.
Roman Fada’s public appearance and firm denial aim to ease tensions and protect the dignity of the family as they mourn the late Charles Kwadwo Fosu.
A candlelight vigil was held on August 2, 2025, in honour of the legendary singer, who died on July 26 after a brief illness. The solemn night brought together fans and loved ones in a heartfelt celebration of his enduring musical legacy.
