Agya Koo Calls for NPP Return, Argues Mahama Has Let Ghanaians Down

Agya Koo and John Mahama

Agya Koo has ignited fresh political conversation, calling on the New Patriotic Party (NPP) to make a comeback as discontent grows under President John Dramani Mahama.

The veteran actor argued that many Ghanaians now draw comparisons between the present government and the era of former President Nana Akufo-Addo, with some concluding that living conditions have worsened.

“Ghanaians are not happy with President Mahama, and many are calling for the NPP government to return to power. They say things have changed as compared to the tenure of former President Akufo-Addo, and if that is how the people feel, then indeed the NPP must come back to power. But the question is, who do we present?” Agya Koo said in a video shared online.

He clarified that his appeal was not for personal advantage but stemmed from concern about the country’s future.

“You all know that I am an actor, a comedian, and a musician, but please, do not insult me, because I speak with good intentions. I only echo the concerns of the people,” Agya Koo added.
