Ghanaian content creator Gisela Amponsah has raised questions about the wave of praise currently being directed at President John Dramani Mahama, saying she is struggling to connect it to her own lived experience.
In a recent interview with Nana Romeo on Okay FM, she explained that the positive assessments she hears do not align with what she encounters in her day-to-day life.
“I can’t say anything about Ghanaians praising President Mahama because I don’t know what he is being praised for. I’ve not personally experienced anything for me to think he’s doing well or not,” she said.
Gisela added that she has not seen any clear action or achievement from the president that explains the level of commendation he is receiving.
“I can’t pinpoint exactly what he has done to deserve praises,” she stated.
She also pointed to continued power interruptions, popularly known as Dumsor, as part of her daily reality, suggesting the issue has not improved in her area.
“Dumsor still happens in my area. Even when I was leaving home today, there was no light,” Gisela Amponsah further stated.

I can’t pinpoint exactly what Prez Mahama has done that deserves praises. Even when I was leaving home this morning, there was Dumsor.
