Ghanaian evangelist and former traditional priestess Patricia Asiedua, well known as Nana Agradaa, says her ministry has gone through a major transformation, especially in the way she delivers sermons and interprets scripture.
Speaking on Onua Show Time in a discussion shared on May 13, 2026, Agradaa addressed public perceptions about her preaching style, insisting that social media often paints an incomplete picture of what happens during her church services.
According to her, many of the clips circulating online focus only on the humorous moments meant to entertain her congregation, while ignoring the actual teachings and spiritual messages she delivers during sermons.
“How I used to preach from the beginning is how I preach now. Social media only promotes negativity. I can preach for an hour, but they would never promote the sermon.
“After preaching and I’m trying to crack jokes to make the church fun and make our members laugh, they would only capture that part and post online. They get the jokes and promote negativity more than the word of God,” she said.
Agradaa explained that people now see a difference in her ministry because she has toned down the playful side of her services and become more focused during preaching.
“The reason why it has changed is that I’ve stopped fooling and cracking jokes. When you come to my church now, whether you like it or not, you will leave with only positive things,” she stated.
She also opened up about a personal spiritual journey she undertook, revealing that she spent eight months seeking direction from God and reached a point where she was prepared to sacrifice everything material for spiritual growth.
“The second thing is, I tried to get a spiritual direction for eight months and I told God that, before I leave where I am now, even if I lose all my money and my whole assets and I have His word, then I have everything. God listened to me,” she shared.
Agradaa further stated that while she had always been able to preach, she previously struggled to support her messages with direct biblical references. She now believes that aspect of her ministry has improved through divine guidance.
“At first, I could preach, but I support my messages with Bible verses. Now, by the grace of God, if I’m asked to back what I preach with scripture, the spirit of God gives me the knowledge,” she further stated.
