Actor John Peasah, popularly known for his role as Drogba in the Ghanaian teen drama YOLO, has addressed comments involving his colleague Fella Makafui after an old interview clip resurfaced online and triggered debate across social media.
The video brought renewed attention to claims he made about his health journey, where he suggested that Fella had not been in touch or visited him during his illness. The remarks quickly reignited wider conversations about the off-screen relationships and support system among cast members of the hit series.
“Fella Makafui hasn’t reached out. When the issue started, she contacted Jeffery Nortey. She has my number, so Jeffery Nortey was surprised. Later, she contacted me using a different number and asked when I would be free. I told her I am always free, and since then, I haven’t heard from her,” Drogba stated.
The clip divided opinion online, with some users questioning both actors over their communication and expectations of support.
Fella Makafui later pushed back on the narrative, saying she had been in contact with Drogba more recently.
“I hope this video is not recent because that would be surprising. We’ve been communicating lately for anyone asking,” Fella wrote.
John Peasah later reacted in a TikTok video sighted on June 3, 2026, clarifying that the circulating interview was not recent but an earlier recording. He also maintained that, regardless of timing, he had not received any physical visit from Fella.
“During the interview, we were discussing the past, not the present. Please understand that. No, she never visited. That’s a fact, and I’ve come to accept it,” he said.
He further stressed that he does not expect assistance from anyone and insisted his priority has been focused on treatment rather than online discussion.
“I am not entitled to anyone’s help. That’s part of life, and I understand it. I’m sorry if I hurt anyone’s feelings. I came for solutions, not drama. Sorry if I offended anyone.
“I never knew this interview would spark another controversy, so I’ll say no more. Lesson learned. Right now, no one is talking about my health issue, only the controversy,” Drogba stressed.
@drogba.yolo To everyone in the comment section I wasn’t tagged in village blogger, so the full story wasn’t heard. Please watch the full interview to get a full understanding. Thank you.
