Seven persons are reported dead after a boat in which they were traveling in capsized on the Volta Lake yesterday .
The 7 who were part of 20 people who were onboard the boat from a dwarf island Jemeni to Havekokpe in the midway through the journey were caught up in a heavy storm which capsized the boat.
5 females and 2 male adults lost their lives while 13 others were rescued.
The Eastern Regional Police PRO,DSP Ebenezer Tetteh indicated that the police have commenced investigations into the incident and said the bodies of the deceased persons have been deposited at a private hospital.
