Development of Salaga South Is My Heartbeat- Alidu Zakaria

Alidu Zakaria, popularly known as Uncle Ayawo, is an aspiring candidate for the upcoming New Patriotic Party’s Parliamentary Primaries in the Salaga South Constituency, located in the Savannah Region. He is deeply passionate about the development of the constituency and aims to serve the people as their representative in the next parliament.

During the submission of his nomination forms for the NPP Parliamentary Primaries, Alidu Zakaria expressed his commitment to fostering unity and conducting a clean campaign.

He emphasized that both the winner and loser in the primaries will need to work together in harmony as they prepare for the 2024 general elections.

This call for unity underscores his belief in the importance of collaboration and collective efforts to achieve progress and development for the constituency.

“I want to entreat the other aspirants to engage in a clean campaign as this is just as internal elections, we will need each other in the campaign in 2024.”

He called on the delegates of the NPP to give him the opportunity to contest in the 2024 elections so he snatches the parliamentary seat from the NDC.

Mr. Zakaria noted that the development of Salaga South is his heartbeat.

“Salaga is an old town, however we lack many things from water to good roads. If I am able to win the primaries and subsequently become an MP for the area, I will use my lobbying skills to bring developmental projects to the area.”

Mr. Zakaria noted that, “I have a track record of helping some of the youth in the area to get jobs in the security services, education, health among others even though I do not hold any political position.”

He added that, “Salaga has a problem with electricity, we always have power fluctuations. That is one area I will be looking at with the Ministry of Power to find a solution to the problem. As we speak, I have done several follow ups to NEDCO and hope to hear positive feedback from them.”
