I Have Stopped Smoking Weed I have Begun Education Against Drug Abuse-Ras Nene
Popular Kumawood Actor, Ras Nene has indicated that he has quit smoking weed and other substances and had begun a campaign against the abuse of drugs.
According to Ras Nene known in private life as Akwasi Antwi he is using his life as an example to educate the populace on the impact of drugs. His campaign is dubbed, “Operation Stay Away from Drugs,”
He indicated that he started abusing drugs at a very tender age at Tafo a suburb of Kumasi in the Ashanti Region. He also disclosed that he learnt how to use drugs at a very young age from Musicians who used to visit their house.
Ras Nene revealed that apart from smoking weed he also sold some to his clients.
The Kumawood Actor revealed he was once betrayed by a friend because of 5 cedis and was later remanded in prison custody for a week.
Along the line, Jones Agyemang a movie producer introduced him to acting, this he believes has transformed his life.
He admonished the youth to stay away from drugs.
Ras Nene has featured in over two hundred movies since he joined the industry.
