A Ghanaian Cardiologist based in Georgia in the United States, Dr Collins Kwarteng is urging Ghanaian Parliamentarians who have tested positive to COVID-19 to declare their status.
According to Dr. Collins Kwarteng if the Parliamentarians are able to do this it would go a long way to reduce stigmatization that has characterised people who have recovered from the disease.
“Prince Charles, Idris Elba and other personalities cross the Globe have all declared their status, this is encouraging and our MPs must learn from this,” Dr. Kwarteng noted.
He commended the Managing Director of Nyaho Medical Centre, Dr. Elikem Tamakloe who tested positive to the virus for declaring his status.
He called for intensified education on the pandemic this he believes would go a long way to reduce the spread of the pandemic.
In another development ,Mr. Emmanuel Yaw Kwarteng of the Food and Drugs Authority (FDA) has disclosed that the authority has not endorsed any herbal medicine for the treatment of COVID-19.
