Sunyani Technical University To Sanction Staff And Students Who Flout Covid-19 Protocols

Authorities at the Sunyani Technical University in the Bono Region have indicated that it would sanction staff and students who flout the protocols instituted by the University in the fight against COVID-19.

Stringent protocols including ; checking of temperature, provision of Veronica Buckets for washing of hands among others have been put in place by the University  to prevent the outbreak and spread of COVID-19. 

1,500 final year students are expected back on campus following the Presidential directive on the reopening of tertiary institutions for final year students.

Dickson Kyere-Duah, the Public Relations Officer of the Sunyani Technical University in an interview said, “Staff and students who flout the Covid-19 protocols we have put in place would be sanctioned. Without face masks you cannot enter the campus and without washing your hands you cannot enter any department.”

Mr Kyere-Duah disclosed that the security and the staff have been trained on all they need to know about the pandemic.

Eacht student has been given three washable nose masks and hand sanitizer.
