27-year-old man, Elijah Elijah Nankuasi has met his ultimately death after he was shot by his friend who owed him at Zabrama in the Pru West District of Bono East Region.
Kwabena Naaba Asanu is in the grips of the Yeji Police after shooting his friend, Elijah Nankuasi at Zabrama a farming community.
The Yeji Police Command led by Superitendent Thomas Owoahene Acheampong has begun investigation into the incident.
Joseph Dipaaba brother of the deceased disclosed to First News what led to the shooting of his bother.
“Kwabena Naaba Asanu owes my brother GH100 cedis which he paid GH50 cedis, my brother later demanded the rest of the GH50 cedis which resulted in a fight. My brother demanded for the rest of the GH50cedis this brought a misunderstanding between them, Asanu rushed to his room picked a gun and shot my brother at a close range killing him instantly. “
Kwabena Naaba Asanu was nearly lynched by the residents, he is currently receiving treatment at the St Matthias Catholic Hospital at Yeji.
The body of the late Elijah Nankuasi has been deposited at the same hospital waiting autopsy.
