Doreen Moracha, Kenyan Communication Executive Living With HIV For 28 Years

Kenyan communication executive, Doreen Moracha has shared a brief insight on her experience of living with HIV for 28 years.

In a birthday post she shared, Doreen disclosed that she is living with HIV since 1992, the year she was born and has been on ARVs since 2005.

Doreen Moracha, a member of the Beijing+25 Youth Taskforce from Kenya, is working with social influencers to translate information around COVID-19 into various local languages.

The first case of HIV in Kenya was detected in 1984.Kenya has the joint third-largest HIV epidemic in the world (alongside Tanzania) with 1.6 million people living with HIV in 2018.
