Ambulance Driver Shot By Armed Robbers Dies

Abraham Tetteh, a driver with the National Ambulance Service who was shot by armed robbers last week has died  at the Korle Bu Teaching Hospital in Accra.

Information available to First News indicates that Abraham Tetteh died at the early hours of Saturday February 6, 2021.

Abraham Tetteh was last week Wednesday carrying a pregnant woman in labour from the Akuse Government Hospital to the Eastern Regional Hospital in Koforidua when he was shot by armed robbers between Somanya and Adukrom Akuapem in the Eastern Region.

He was rushed to the Tetteh Quarshie Memorial Hospital at Mampong Akuapem and was later transferred to the Korle Bu Teaching Hospital for further medical attention.

However, the pregnant woman has delivered safely and she is doing well with her baby.
