Construction of A Bus Terminal By SRC Of UDS Causes Controversy

The construction of a mini bus terminal by 2020/2021 Students’ Representative Council executives at the University for Development Studies (UDS) in Tamale at the cost of Ghc63,147,62 has sparked controversy on social media.

The construction of the single bus terminal cost the SRC executives Ghc45,160,62. While the fabrication and installation of a single relaxation bed cost them Ghc18,014.85.

Similarly, a sister University SRC not long ago also inflated a simple bus by almost 100,000 Cedis.

Another SRC sometime ago too doubled the appearance fee of a famous musician during their SRC week. They invoiced 150,000 Cedis and paid him 80k.

Efforts to get the SRC to comment of the issue were unsuccessful.
