Vice President H.E Alhaji Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia has this morning lost his mum, Hajia Mariama Bawumia.
Hajia Mariama Bawumia popularly called Maame has been unwell and was hospitalized over the past few weeks. She died at the aged of 82.
Dr. Bawumia has always described her late mother as a pillar in his life.
Dr. Bawumia on his Facebook wall wrote, “It is with great sadness that I announce the passing of my beloved mother Hajia Mariama Bawumia. Hajia Mariama passed away peacefully this morning in Accra. Burial is scheduled for tomorrow, Tuesday September 14, 2021 in Walewale. May the Almighty Allah grant her Jannatul Firdaus.”
