Breaking: ‘Western Togoland’ Leader, Papavi Hogbedetor Dies

Reports reaching Volta Online indicates that, the founder and leader of secessionist movement, the Homeland Study Group Foundation (HSGF) has passed on.

The 86-year old Charles Kormi Kudjordji, alias Papavi Hogbedetor was reported to have died in the early hours of Saturday.

Papavi has been at forefront of a separatist campaign to get the Volta region and other parts of North-Eastern part Ghana seceded into an independent Western Togoland state.

He was recently arrested and arraigned in connection with a supposed independence declaration sometime in October, 2019.
