KNUST Student Drowns At Borla Beach

A third-year student of the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), Nyab Alidu is reported drowned at Borla Beach in Accra.

Report has it that Alidu had gone to swim with some of his friends when the unfortunate incident happened.

It took the family a week to be able to find the body. The burial is said to take place in Accra on Tuesday.

Members of the family far away Zabzugu and Yendi in the Northern Region are in shock and traumatised following the incident.

This is the third Ghanaian University student to have drowned in 2021. Adam Gafaru a PhD student at Arizona State University got drowned in a swimming in September in the United States.

Andrew Amuna who had completed his master’s in electrical engineering at University of North Carolina in Charlotte also in the United also got drowned in July.
