Dunkwa Nursing and Midwifery Training College holds it’s 11 matriculation ceremony

Dunkwa Nursing and Midwifery Training College has held a ceremony to formally admit 750 fresh students.

Out of the number, 301 would be doing general nursing, 210 a course in midwifery, 196 would be doing Nurse Assistance Clinical and Post Mac/nap 43.

Mr. Ben Samson, Principal of the College, said the administration of the college received 2,814 qualified applications but limited infrastructure and facilities disabled it from offering more admissions.

He congratulated those who gained entry into the college. He urged the student to take their lessons seriously to avoid expulsion from the college.

He also asked them to work hard to achieve their dreams.

Mr. Ben Samson said they should make sure they attend lectures, concentrate on their books and to take their clinical attachment for practical training at hospitals seriously.

He urged them to remain focused, avoid acts of indiscipline, absenteeism and lateness either to class or the hospital.

He reminded them that promotion would be based solely on academic performance and warned of the withdrawal of students who failed to make the mark.

Mr. Ben Samson appealed to parents to support their children to achieve their arms. He also appealed to parents to support the school to maintain discipline. He added that, erring students would be sanctioned.

DR. Benjamin Annan who happens to be the, Municipal Health Director Dunkwa, congratulated the school principal and the entire staff for their hard work to achieve such magnificent infrastructure for the school.

He also gave thanks to the chiefs and those who have supported the school from the beginning till date, and lamented on some numerous challenges facing the school and appealed to the government and health ministry to assist it to expand its infrastructure to boost teaching and learning materials.

Dr. Benjamin Annan, advised the new students to work with zeal to become experts in their chosen profession to save lives.
