I Can easily Win Grammy for Ghana – Gospel Artiste Joseph Matthew
Award-winning dancehall artiste, Stonebwoy, and reggae legend Rocky Dawuni, have both gained nominations to the prestigious music awards scheme in the world; Grammys, Ghana is still yet to win her first award.
But there is hope finally . UK-based Ghanaian afro-gospel artist, Joseph Matthew has stated without mincing words that he has the potential of being the first Ghanaian artiste to win the award.(Grammy)
There was no quiver in his voice as he made the bold declaration of winning the first National Academy of science & Recording Sciences award (Grammy) for Ghana while speaking in an interview on Accra-based Hot 93.9FM’s ‘Rush Hour’ show hosted by Okyerefour:
” I can win Ghana’s first Grammy award…Yes, I have all the qualities to achieve such a feat for Ghana…I do good productions … I am not your usual gospel artist…I’m very unique”.
The confidence in the declaration of that wish is justified because Joseph Matthew is currently regarded as the best Ghanaian musician in the UK.
JM started his music career some years back and has featured in a number of musical events on both local and international musical platforms.
He is currently out with his monster hit song ‘Blessed’ The demand for the song released some few months ago compelled him to do the most expensive video to promote the song. It is available on YouTube.
The artist is hopeful that the song and its video would touch the hearts of many music lovers and help them to have breakthroughs in their Christian lives.
He disclosed that he ventured into the gospel industry to use music to promote the teachings of Jesus Christ and also bring people closer to God. He used the opportunity to thank God for how far He has brought him and also thanked Gospel music fans for embracing his songs.
The award-winning afro gospel artist released his debut single track, ‘Hallelujah’, in January 2019; ‘Nyame Ye’, another smashing hit song in April 2019; ‘My Story’ in 2020, ‘Not Alone’ , ‘The Name’ and currently ‘Blessed’
All these will feature on his long-awaited gospel album (Solid Rock), which he intends releasing in 2023.
