Dr Duffour Declares Intention To Contest for NDC Presidential Slot

Former Finance Minister Dr Kwabena Duffour has declared intentions to contest the flagbearership position of the NDC when nominations open.

Dr Dufour who also served as governor of the Bank of Ghana from 1997 to 2021 was Ghana’s finance minister under the Mills administration from 2009 to 2012.

According to him,the decision to run for president is born out of a desire to see an improvement in the living standards of the average Ghanaian.

He made the declaration at a press conference in Accra.

“Today, I officially announce my intention to contest for the Flagbearership of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) anytime the party opens nominations. I will offer myself once again to serve the land of my birth with humility and sacrifice when given the chance to do so,” he said at a press conference in Accra on Thursday November 3.
