Abesimhene Barima Kumi Acheaw II Is Dead
Baffour Atosi Ababio, Sumankwahene of Dormaa Traditional Area has officially announced the demise of Abesimhene, Barima Kumi Acheaw II who died at the age of 70.
At a solemn gathering Saturday, 21st January 2023 where Osagyefo Oseadeyo Dr. Agyemang Badu II Dormaamanhene was represented by Berima Mintah Afari, Benkumhene of Dormaa Traditional Area who doubles as Chiraahene, the Sumankwahene sadly told the gathering of royals and well wishers the regrettable news happened on the 30th of September 2022, adding, several efforts to save him was unsuccessful.
Berima Kumi Acheaw II, late Abesimhene before his demise was a retiree of the Ghana Education Service working as Headteacher at the Boahene Korkor J.H.S.
The Kyidomhene of Dormaa Traditional Area, Kumi Acheaw II who succeeded Nana Ansu Gyeabour in the 2003 left behind 6 children and number of grandchildren.
Barima Mintah Afari, Chiraahene announced that, beginning Thursday March 23rd to 27th has been scheduled for his funeral rites.
He however, conveyed his condolence to the bereaved family and the entire Abesim natives.
