Dambai: Krachi East MCE Nominee Expected To Get Over 90 Percent Votes

Though the fate of the President’s nominee as Municipal Chief Executive for the Krachi East Municipality in the Oti Region, Bernard Aborkugya Mensah lies in the hands of the 30 Assembly Members and Government Appointees on whether they will confirm him or not tomorrow. First News has gathered that he is expected to get over 90 percent of the votes tomorrow.

It is the expectation of the inhabitants of the Krachi East Municipality that President Akufo-Addo’s nominee will get the needed voted to be confirmed to enable him steer the affairs in the Municipality.  The Municipality has been without an MCE for almost eight months following the untimely death of the former MCE, Francis Kofi Okesu.

First News has gathered that all the Assembly Members and government appointees have been spoken to, to have a bigger look at the development of the Municipality and confirm the President’s nominee.

He is expected to continue developmental projects started by the former MCE and also initiate new ones if he is confirmed.

The MCE nominee comes with a rich experience as the former Constituency Chairman.
