Ghanaians Are Losing Opportunities To Travel Because They Cannot Get Their Traveling Passports

Many Ghanaians are losing the opportunity to travel for business and educational trips because they have not been able to access their traveling passport after applying and going through the process.

The Minister of Foreign Affairs and Regional Integration must be up and doing because the situation is not the best.

The service the Passport Office is rendering now is contrary to the assurance they gave in a press release that they are committed to their mandate of delivering enhanced service to the general public.

How can someone apply for a passport for six months and the  person is not able to get it. However, when one pays Gh1,000.00 to some middlemen popularly called “Goroboys” the person will get his or her passport within a few days.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Regional Integration has also not come out to tell Ghanaians what the problem at the Passport Office is.

What we hear is rumours that the booklets for the printing of the passports are finished.

As I put this piece together I have lost an opportunity to travel to Canada for a programme because my traveling passport is not ready though I took the picture and did everything in January 2023.

Hon Shirley Ayorkor Botchwey we want to know what the problem is at the Passport Office.
