Abubakar Memunatu a popular sports presenter with Radio BAR which belongs to the state broadcaster Ghana Broadcasting Corporation (GBC) in Sunyani in the Bono Region is reported dead.
The cause of death of Memunatu is not immediately known at the time of filing this report.
Social Media is a washed with various tributes from people who had had an encounter with the late Memunatu.

Raymond Yeboah formerly of Space FM in Sunyani and now domicile in Japan said, “Two of the best female sports presenters in Sunyani are gone , it was Abenaa then now Memuna of Radio B.A.R, sleep well.”
Atta Boakye Pedrox of Ark FM on his part said, “Brong Ahafo Media have lost one of the finest female Sports Journalists, Mamunatu Abubakar of Radio BAR in Sunyani May your soul Rest in Perfect Peace Comrade, you fought a good fight.”
