Eno Barony urges women to persevere in male-dominated fields: ‘fight extra hard’

Eno Barony

Ghanaian rapper Eno Barony has shared advice for women in male-dominated fields.

In an interview with B Ice on Agyenkwa FM in Kumasi, the “God is a Woman” rapper encouraged women to work even harder to succeed.

“You need to fight 50 thousand times harder if you’re a woman in a male-dominated field. People assume it’s easier for women, but that’s not the case,” Eno Barony said.

When asked if the music and entertainment industry favors men over women, she responded that it doesn’t favor anyone in particular. Instead, she believes that people must fight for change to see improvements.

Eno Barony also recalled how she actively fought for more representation of women in the industry, particularly when female artists were often overlooked for event bookings. At the time, she felt women’s talents were undervalued.

However, she noted that progress has been made, and the situation is improving.
