Veteran Ghanaian Gospel musician Georgia Adjei recounts how Empress Gifty saved her

Georgia Adjei and Empress Gifty Adorye

Veteran Ghanaian gospel musician Georgia Adjei has shared how fellow gospel artiste Empress Gifty Adorye came to her aid after surgery.

In a video, the “Ebenezer” singer revealed that God used Empress Gifty to help her during a difficult time. After the surgery, Georgia Adjei had only GHS 30 left and was advised by doctors to eat regularly and not go hungry.

Facing this situation, she decided to visit veteran news broadcaster Kojo Dickson at Angel FM to ask for financial help, as she considered him like a brother. While nearing the station, she unexpectedly ran into Gifty Adorye coming down the stairs.

Mrs. Adorye embraced her after Georgia mentioned she hadn’t been invited to programs, and Gifty explained she thought Georgia had been traveling. In reality, the veteran gospel musician had been battling health issues in the hospital for six months.

After a brief conversation, Gifty went to her car, retrieved some money, and gave it to Georgia, telling her to use it for transportation. Though initially shy, Georgia accepted the money, which ultimately saved her when she found out Kojo Dickson wasn’t at the office and his phone was off.

Georgia used part of Gifty’s money to buy groceries, which lasted her for a week. In the video, she expressed her gratitude, blessing Gifty and even presenting her with a portrait as a token of appreciation.
