As preparations begin for the first anniversary of Daddy Lumba’s passing, the late highlife legend’s children say they are determined to keep his memory and influence alive for decades to come.
In a recent interview, Calvin Fosu, the musician’s first son, disclosed that all of Daddy Lumba’s children have united behind a shared mission to honour their father’s legacy in a meaningful and lasting way.
He explained that the family is focused on safeguarding the legacy the celebrated singer built through his music and his enormous contribution to Ghana’s entertainment scene.
“We definitely want our father to be remembered the right way for the next hundred years and beyond. And this time we, as the kids, want to go forward and do this together, and do it as united as possible to make sure that the one year will be for everyone to remember him the right way,” he stated.
Calvin added that the planned one-year memorial activities will demonstrate the siblings’ collective commitment to celebrating their father’s life, achievements, and enduring impact on generations of music lovers.
