Ghanaian artist Raphael Camidoh Kofi Attachie, popularly known as Camidoh, has shared that he doesn’t feel pressured to replicate the success of his hit song “Sugarcane.”
Despite going years without another viral hit, Camidoh remains unfazed. He expressed confidence that his music will receive the recognition it deserves in due time.
“No, I’ve never really been under pressure to make another song like ‘Sugarcane.’ I believe I’ve been blessed with an amazing talent, and I make amazing music. So, there’s no need to compare ‘Sugarcane’ to my other work,” he said in an interview with Graphic Showbiz.
“I believe that, at the right time, my records will get the attention they deserve because they are all beautiful songs. If I were struggling to make music, I might feel that way, but what God has blessed me with is a gift, so I’m not forced to recreate ‘Sugarcane.’ Not at all.”
Camidoh also highlighted the importance of value communication in the industry.
“I think our industry needs to focus more on communicating value because I believe that when people appreciate and understand the value an artist, a song, or the act of making music holds, they will celebrate and cherish it more,” he stated.
