Ghanaian actor Richard Kweku Asante, popularly known as Kalybos, recently opened up about his previous relationship and why it ended.
Appearing on the Girl’s Aloud podcast, Kalybos candidly discussed his five-year relationship with his ex-girlfriend, Frimpongmaa, and why it didn’t lead to marriage. In a snippet from the yet-to-be-aired episode, the comedian shared that despite the length of their relationship, things weren’t working out as he had hoped.
“Being in a relationship for a long time doesn’t mean you have to settle down with the person no matter what. When you assess yourself and things aren’t going the way you want, then…” he explained.
One of the hosts then asked, “So, things weren’t going the way you wanted with Frimpongmaa?”
Kalybos responded, “No, it wasn’t.”
The actor also jokingly remarked on why he married his wife, Antwiwaa, saying, “Yeah, because she has money. She’s a rich woman,” in a lighthearted tone.
A few days ago, Kalybos and Antwiwaa celebrated their first wedding anniversary, with the actor taking to social media to express his love for her.
