Nana Romeo announces his resignation from Accra FM

Ghanaian radio personality Nana Romeo, born Abdul Karim, has officially stepped away from Accra FM after nearly ten years with the station.

He made the announcement via an Instagram post on May 26, 2025.

Nana Romeo, who served as the host of Accra FM’s midmorning and entertainment shows, reflected on his long tenure at the media outlet, expressing deep appreciation to those who shaped his career along the way.

“As I sit down to write this, it’s hard to believe that the time has come for me to say goodbye to CMG – ACCRA FM 100.5 After close to 10 years of togetherness,” he wrote.

In his farewell note, he extended heartfelt thanks to the founder of Class Media Group (CMG), Alhaji Seidu Agongo, and former General Manager Nana Appeanti, acknowledging their early support and belief in his abilities.

“The moment has arrived for me to take the next step in my journey and I want to take a moment to thank and appreciate the owner of CMG, Alhaji Seidu Agongo, to Nana Appeanti the then General Manager who saw and believed in my talent, to all my colleagues both past and present, to my cherished listeners and all my loved ones,” the post continued. “Words aren’t enough to express how I’m feeling right now. It’s been beautiful. FASTEN YOUR SEATBELT AS I ANNOUNCE MY NEXT HOME SOON. THANK YOU 🙏”

Nana Romeo’s exit marks the end of a significant chapter in his broadcasting journey. Known for his energetic presence and engaging interviews, he became a household name over the past decade on Accra’s airwaves.
