Ghanaian rapper Medikal has sparked controversy with a fiery response to entertainment critic MC Yaa Yeboah, who publicly condemned his conduct during a recent university event.
The incident at the Evandy Hall Week celebration became a talking point after a video circulated online showing Medikal embracing a female fan on stage, with allegations surfacing that he touched her inappropriately.
Amid growing online backlash, MC Yaa Yeboah joined the debate, slamming Medikal’s actions and demanding accountability.
“If you see a lady dressed in a manner where part of her body is exposing, it doesn’t give you any right to touch her unless she has given you the chance. You pressed her buttocks,” she stated emphatically.
MC Yaa Yeboah went on to suggest that in a country with stricter legal standards, the rapper would have already faced consequences.
“If this had happened in any serious country, Medikal would have been arrested by now. Also, by this time, ambassadorial deals would have been pulled down,” she said.
The commentary didn’t sit well with Medikal, who took to social media to issue a blistering response. He dismissed the pundit’s remarks and launched into a personal attack.
“You are a very stupid woman. I respect women a lot but the fact that she has the guts to say I am a fool means she doesn’t have sense,” Medikal said in a video post.
“You should be disappointed in yourself because you don’t know what you are saying. You are talking about the issue because everyone is speaking about it,” the ‘Omo Ada’ rapper further stated.
