“I Did It Until 25, I Can Do It Again” – Nana Agradaa’s Husband, Angel Asiamah Vows Celibacy During Her 15-Year Jail Term

Amid swirling public scrutiny following the sentencing of Nana Agradaa to 15 years in prison, her husband, Angel Asiamah, has stepped forward to address growing curiosity about how he intends to cope in her absence.

Speaking from the pulpit during a recent church service, Asiamah took aim at critics questioning whether he could remain celibate throughout his wife’s lengthy incarceration.

“They keep asking, ‘Can you stay alone after all this?’ And I respond, ‘Why not?’ Maybe they’ve forgotten that from the time I was born until the age of 25, I had never slept with a woman. I lived a celibate life all those years, so if I could do that then, I can definitely do it now, even if my wife has to serve the full 15-year prison sentence,” Asiamah stressed.

He cited his early commitment to celibacy as proof that he is capable of enduring the coming years alone, despite the emotional and personal toll his wife’s conviction has taken.

Nana Agradaa, officially known as Patricia Asiedua Asiamah, was convicted and sentenced to 15 years behind bars with hard labour after being found guilty of defrauding members of her Heaven Way Church.

Her conviction followed a highly publicised incident in which she promised to double large sums of money given by congregants during an all-night church event, returns that never materialised.

The Accra Circuit Court found her guilty of defrauding by false pretence and charlatanic advertisement, noting her lack of remorse and history of similar offences as aggravating factors in the sentencing.

Angel Asiamah says he’ll remain celibate while Nana Agradaa serves 15 years in prison, recalling his celibate life until age 25.
