Empress Gifty has issued a sharp response to those questioning her triumph at the 2025 Ghana Music Awards USA, declaring that anyone working to undermine her hard-won success will face spiritual judgment.
Since clinching the Artiste of the Year award on August 16, the gospel star has been subjected to ridicule and allegations that her win was unmerited. Refusing to remain silent, she turned to Instagram to deliver a warning, stressing that her critics are not merely attacking her reputation but inviting divine retribution.
“This is my prayer: Anyone who has been paid or influenced to insult or tarnish my image without offending you, or whoever plans any evil against me in secret places, should be dealt with by the God of my mother. So shall it be,” she declared.
In a different post, she invoked the spiritual mantle of her late mother, intensifying her appeal for divine intervention. “I have called the God of my mother Agaga to deal with anybody who I have not offended, but together with people I don’t know and allow people to insult me for no reason. Agaga Agaga Agaga let your God fight for me now in Jesus’ name, Amen,” she wrote.
Her strong words come in the wake of heated debate surrounding her victory over big names such as Stonebwoy, Shatta Wale, King Promise, KiDi, Fameye, Diana Hamilton, Joe Mettle, and King Paluta.
For Empress Gifty, the honour is a recognition of her craft, not a prize to be diminished by detractors. The “Watch Me” singer made clear she will not allow criticism to rob her of the moment she worked for.
