Prophet Kumchacha Condemns “Nonsensical” Prophecies Following Helicopter Crash in Ghana

Prophet Kumchacha

In the wake of the August 6, 2025, military helicopter crash that claimed the lives of eight high-profile Ghanaians, Prophet Kumchacha has taken aim at a surge of sensational prophecies tied to the tragedy, branding many of them as absurd and unfounded.

Speaking on United Showbiz on August 9, 2025, the fiery preacher accused several prophets of exploiting the incident for attention, insisting their visions were neither biblically grounded nor rooted in logic. Citing Ezekiel 13, he warned that Scripture itself condemns misguided prophecy.

One claim that particularly drew his ire came from a Kumasi-based pastor who suggested the crash was linked to the incarceration of Heavens Way Church founder Nana Agradaa. According to this prophecy, Ghana could face even graver disasters unless she is released.

Kumchacha’s rebuttal was scathing:

“There are many prophets who have made various predictions, but most of these prophecies are quite nonsensical. The Bible itself mentions in Ezekiel 13 that many prophets are misguided. For instance, there is a prophet in Kumasi who claims that a woman named AD is imprisoned, and unless she is released, another helicopter tragedy will occur.

“If a prophet can make such a statement, it shows a lack of wisdom. God would not reveal something as foolish as that to anyone. The prophet who made these claims should be held accountable and possibly receive some lashes. The police also need to invite him for questioning.”
