Ghanaian musician and songwriter Akwaboah has shared that prayer and fasting are inseparable parts of his music-making journey.
Speaking in an interview on Adom TV, he explained that he never puts out a song without first seeking divine direction, describing his faith as the foundation that sustains both his life and career.
“I believe in God and I believe He makes all things possible. In this industry, people do things behind closed doors and say God did it, but they know it’s not the God we all know of,” Akwaboah said.
He noted that his spiritual routine often includes long periods of fasting and prayer before releasing new music.
“For me, I have only one God I worship, that’s why before any of my songs come out, I do fasting and praying. I sometimes fast for forty days; my mother and wife can testify to this. Everyone has what they do and believe in,” the ‘Matters of the Heart’ composer further stated.
