Ghanaian artiste, Fameye, has announced plans for a remix of his song Very Soon and is eyeing a major international collaboration.
In an interview with Delay, he shared his desire to feature either a Nigerian or American rapper on the track. His dream lineup includes U.S. hip-hop heavyweights Lil Wayne and J. Cole, as well as Nigerian superstars Davido and Asake.
“I’m working on featuring a Nigerian or American rapper for the Very Soon remix. The American rappers I have in mind are Lil Wayne and J. Cole, and for Nigerian artists, it’s Davido or Asake,” he revealed. “Some social media users came at me when I said I resonated with Asake, but I felt their comments were unnecessary, so I didn’t take them seriously.”
Beyond the remix, Fameye has his sights set on multiple wins at the upcoming Telecel Ghana Music Awards (TGMA), believing his efforts in 2024 deserve more than just a single accolade.
“I don’t deserve just one award because I worked hard in 2024,” he asserted. “I’m not only focused on Very Soon—I’m aiming for Best Video, Best Collaboration, Most Popular Song of the Year, and even Artist of the Year, plus Songwriter of the Year.”
