Black Sherif Takes Over 2025 Charts as “Iron Boy” Rules Spotify and Apple Music

Black Sherif

Black Sherif entered 2025 with extraordinary momentum, closing out the year as the dominant force on Spotify’s annual rankings (2025 Spotify Wrapped). The Ghanaian rapper and singer secured the highest honours on the platform, reinforcing his status as one of the country’s most influential musical exports.

Spotify’s year-end summary placed him at the peak of both the Top Artiste of the Year chart and the Most Streamed Artiste of the Year list. His achievements did not end there. The 2024 project that energised his fan base, “Iron Boy,” emerged as the Most Streamed Album of the Year, and its standout track, “Sacrifice,” earned the title of Most Streamed Song.

His presence on the charts was overwhelming, with nine tracks appearing in the top ten of Spotify’s Most Streamed Songs ranking, a rare sweep even for leading African acts.

The wave extended beyond Spotify. Apple Music Ghana’s Top Songs of 2025 also reflected his dominance, with the first twelve positions occupied by songs from the “Iron Boy” album. Led again by “Sacrifice,” this run made him the first Ghanaian artistes to secure such a commanding lead on the platform.

As fans anticipate results from other digital stores and streaming platforms, one conclusion is already forming. Black Sherif has reached a milestone that many Ghanaian artistes have long aspired to.
