“A Fish With Its Mouth Closed Never Gets Caught” – Captain Planet Reacts to FBI Romance Scam Arrests

Captain Planet Ghana

Captain Planet has waded into the conversation sparked by the FBI’s recent indictments of several Ghanaian nationals over alleged romance scams, making remarks that have quickly ignited debate online.

Reacting to the development, the former 4X4 member suggested that visibility, not wrongdoing alone, is often what draws the attention of investigators. In a series of posts on X, he argued that excessive online display and careless digital behavior make people easier to track, insisting that restraint on social media can shield individuals from scrutiny.

“Some of you boys dey slack. Me if I be game boy like nobody go suspect me cuz I no go show u anything on social media for you to track me. You don’t need to post money on social media to show people you’re enjoying life. A fish with its mouth closed never gets caught,” he wrote.

Beyond public posts and flashy content, Captain Planet cautioned users about the personal information they submit when signing up for digital platforms. He claimed that such data forms the backbone of surveillance systems accessible to law enforcement agencies.

“When joining some social media platforms, be careful cuz they’re collecting DATA from you. They ask for your DOB, your name, your country, your passport number or your social security number. They do all these so they can track your movements. The FBI uses social media to monitor us,” he stated.

The artiste did not stop at online behavior. He expanded his argument to the broader justice system, questioning what he described as selective accountability. According to him, while ordinary citizens are swiftly punished, powerful figures often evade consequences for far more serious offenses.

“How many politicians wey you see say them chop money wey them go jail before? I dey tell you people always say the law only governs you and I (the ordinary citizens) but not some politicians. Know this & know peace. Somebody shout POWERRR,” Captain Planet posited.
