“I Believe in Accountability and the Rule of Law” – Mzbel says as she opens up about Fire Oja’s arrest

Mzbel and Prophet Fire Oja

Mzbel has broken her silence following the arrest of Prophet Fire Oja, describing his claims about her as baseless and harmful.

The Ghanaian musician and businesswoman disclosed the development through a social media post, confirming that the self-styled prophet is currently in police custody and assisting with investigations after she formally reported him to the authorities.

Mzbel accused Fire Oja of spreading falsehoods that she says went beyond acceptable limits. Among the claims she cited was a video in which he alleged that she had been admitted to hospital after undergoing what he described as a spiritual or soul travel experience. She dismissed the assertions as defamatory and misleading.

Rather than engage in public arguments, Mzbel said she has chosen to allow the legal process to unfold. By sharing the controversial video alongside her response, she signaled that the matter is no longer a social media dispute but a legal one now being handled by law enforcement.

“This video contains false and defamatory statements made about me.

Following a formal complaint, the individual responsible has been arrested and is currently in police custody pending investigations in accordance with the law.

I believe in accountability and the rule of law. I will not engage in back-and-forth while the matter is under investigation

#NotEveryFireIsOja.”

At the time of filing this report, the police have not released details about the specific station or facility where Prophet Fire Oja is being held.
