I Changed My Body for Me, Not for Anyone Else – Salma Mumin Breaks Silence on Body-Shaming

Ghanaian actress and entrepreneur Salma Mumin has finally addressed the relentless criticism and ridicule following her recent body transformation.

In a statement shared on her social media platforms, Salma made it clear that the ongoing scrutiny has gone too far.

The Salma Eatery owner expressed her frustration with how casually people hurl hurtful remarks, often ignoring the emotional and psychological toll such words can have.

She explained that her decision to change her body was entirely personal, driven by her own happiness and confidence, not by the desire to meet anyone else’s expectations.

“I changed my appearance because I wanted to, and because I was not comfortable with how I looked before,” she said, emphasizing that her choices were about her own comfort and self-assurance.

On the topic of her body enhancement, Salma was firm: whether her BBL is obvious or aligns with anyone else’s preference is irrelevant. “What matters the most is that it is what I wanted, and that should be enough,” she asserted.

The actress did not hold back in condemning the mockery and judgment directed at her, describing such behavior as unacceptable.

“No one deserves to have their peace destroyed over personal choices that do not harm others,” she added.

Salma concluded by appealing to the public to be mindful of their words, urging people to speak with more thoughtfulness and humanity.
