Kwabena Kwabena Says Some Men Destroy Homes by Cheating with Wives’ Best Friends

Infidelity remains one of the quickest ways to unravel a relationship, leaving behind broken trust, lingering suspicion and emotional distance. Yet, according to Highlife artiste Kwabena Kwabena, the blame for cheating cannot be pinned on one gender.

The celebrated singer says unfaithfulness cuts across both men and women, insisting that men are just as guilty of betraying their partners. In some cases, he noted, the betrayal goes as far as men engaging in affairs with their wives’ close friends.

Kwabena Kwabena shared these views during an appearance on Hitz FM on January 27, 2026, where he was discussing his popular song ‘Aso.’ The track centres on the pain of a relationship falling apart due to disappointment and betrayal, capturing the frustration of giving everything to love only to watch it crumble.

In the song’s storyline, the male character feels drained and wounded, convinced he has done all he can to save the relationship while his girlfriend continues to hurt him. The singer explained that although the narrative is told from a man’s point of view, the message resonates far beyond one side.

Kwabena Kwabena said the song connects with many listeners because cheating is a shared problem in relationships, regardless of gender.

“Apart from the fact that I’m telling the ‘Aso’ story for the men, it’s something which is relatable because it’s something happening both ways. There are guys who are chopping their wives’ best friends. You guys need to stop,” he said.

‘Aso’ has since received a fresh boost with a remix featuring Stonebwoy and Kofi Kinaata. The collaboration forms part of activities marking the 20th anniversary of Kwabena Kwabena’s debut album, Aso.

He revealed that the remix is only the beginning of several planned releases to celebrate the milestone. The veteran musician also hinted at future collaborations, including versions of ‘Aso’ that could allow women to tell their side of the story.
