Gospel singer Diana Asamoah has publicly criticised Prophet Bernard ElBernard Nelson-Eshun over his recent failed prophecy regarding the New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) presidential primaries.
Ahead of the elections, Prophet ElBernard predicted that Kennedy Agyapong would secure an easy victory. When the prophecy did not come true, social media quickly filled with reactions from critics and observers alike.
Diana Asamoah joined the chorus of voices, taking aim at the Spiritlife Revival Ministries’ General Overseer. In a video that has gone viral online, she urged him to reconsider his return to preaching.
“Prophet ElBernard’s decision to stay away for one year is not enough. He should stay away from preaching for about five years. If he had lived by the word, he wouldn’t be here doing all these by now,” she said, arguing that a short hiatus is insufficient.
She also challenged claims made by Prophet Nigel Gaisie, who suggested he was responsible for Kennedy Agyapong’s loss in the primaries.
“Kennedy Agyapong’s defeat in the primaries shows that God’s time is the best. When God’s time is due, he will definitely win. Your prayers did not make him lose the election, so they shouldn’t say that,” Diana Asamoah stated, dismissing Gaisie’s assertions as false.
