Prophet Fire Oja has hit back at singer Mzbel after attending his second court appearance in the ongoing legal dispute, calling out what he says are her false claims.
On Wednesday, March 11, 2026, the pastor appeared in court for the second hearing of the case Mzbel filed against him. After leaving the courtroom, he spoke to the media to clarify his position.
Prophet Fire Oja made it clear that he will not apologise to Mzbel unless a court orders him to do so. He also warned her to stop spreading lies and urged her to let the legal process play out without interference.
The pastor accused Mzbel of repeatedly making untrue statements about the situation. He said that during the first hearing, she went to social media claiming that he had been detained, which he described as entirely false. He added that when the police invited him, she misrepresented it as an arrest, creating a misleading impression among the public.
The conflict began after Prophet Fire Oja alleged that Mzbel experienced serious health complications in 2025 following a visit to a traditionalist named Ola Maame for a ritual he described as “soul travel.” He claimed the complications were severe enough to require hospitalisation.
He further accused Mzbel of collaborating with the traditionalist to mislead women who visited Ola Maame’s shrine in Kasoa. Mzbel has denied the accusations, challenging anyone to prove that she suffered any harm from the spiritualist.
Through her lawyers, the singer later issued a legal notice demanding that Prophet Fire Oja retract his statements, apologise, and pay compensation, giving him ten days to comply. His refusal to respond prompted Mzbel to escalate the matter to court.
