Rapper M.anifest has revealed that it has been years since he last submitted entries for consideration at the Telecel Ghana Music Awards, following a social media exchange that reignited attention around his recent work.
The disclosure came after content creator Scanty asked on X on March 17, 2026, whether the rapper had entered his song “Wine & Blues,” featuring Arathejay, for “Collaboration of the Year” at the 27th Telecel Ghana Music Awards. The track is lifted from his “New Road and Guava Trees” album, which was released in March 2025.
“Bro you no file wine & blues for collab of the year?” Scanty asked.
Responding directly, M.anifest, who has kept a relatively low profile in terms of award submissions in recent years, disclosed that he has not entered any works for nearly a decade.
“I haven’t filed for anything since 2017. Love to everyone tho,” he replied.

The exchange followed closely after nominees for the 27th edition of the Telecel Ghana Music Awards were officially unveiled on March 14, 2026, setting off widespread industry conversations.
Notably, 2017 marked a defining moment in his award history. At the 18th Ghana Music Awards, M.anifest clinched “Best Rapper of the Year,” edging out competitors including Flowking Stone, E.L, Medikal, Yaa Pono, and Sarkodie.
