Ghanaian rapper Medikal has brushed aside any talk of friction within the music scene, making it clear that there is no bad blood between him and fellow artiste Stonebwoy.
Speaking on Starr Showbiz with host Feeling Daddy, Medikal responded to long-running speculation about supposed divisions among top musicians, stressing that his connection with Stonebwoy is still on good terms.
“We are cool. Yeah, we are cool. I don’t have problems with Stonebwoy at all,” he said.
He went on to explain that much of the talk around rivalries in the industry is often shaped by fans rather than the artistes themselves, adding that the drama is frequently overblown. “Sometimes the fans do that as well. But you see, it’s entertainment.”
Touching on a viral moment involving Shatta Wale and Stonebwoy, he expressed approval of any public show of unity between them. “If they are to meet at an event under the same roof, and then there’s a hug, it’s beautiful. Who doesn’t like to see love?”
He also pointed out that each artiste is mainly focused on personal growth and individual targets rather than ongoing disputes. “Stonebwoy has his goals, Shatta has his goals, I have my goals.”
