A decade into their marriage, Kuburah Diamonds is pausing to reflect on a relationship that has stretched across nearly two decades with Ghanaian politician Sadiq Abdulai Abu.
Sharing the moment on Facebook, she revealed that their bond dates back 17 years, with 10 of those years spent as husband and wife. Her words carried a tone of gratitude and deep spiritual grounding, pointing to a union she believes has been sustained by faith.
“It’s been ten ( 10 ) of Allah Did in marriage and seventeen ( 17 ) years of knowing each other. Insha Allah FOREVER TO GO! in this Duniya ( earth ) and Akhira ( hereafter ). Ameen
May Allah shower us with love, patience and happiness and bless our offsprings to be the coolness of Allah and be of immense benefit to us and humanity.”
Beyond marking the milestone, she also invoked a Quranic prayer that reflects the couple’s hopes for their family and their place within the wider community.
“Our Lord, grant us from among our spouses and offspring comfort to our eyes and make us an example for the righteous.”
The message arrives at a time when public attention around her husband is growing. President John Dramani Mahama has recently named Sadiq Abdulai Abu as Ghana’s High Commissioner-designate to the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
