Kofi Owusu Aduonum has stepped forward to address the online noise surrounding his marriage to Guinness World Record singathon hopeful Efua Asantewaa, offering a glimpse into how he has handled the sudden spotlight.
Speaking in an interview with Quophi Okyeame, which was shared on YouTube on April 4, 2026, Aduonum explained that public attention was never something he actively sought. He described himself as someone who prefers to stay out of the limelight but found himself pulled into ongoing social media conversations tied to his wife.
He acknowledged the trolling that has followed but said he does not let it weigh him down. Instead, he approaches it with a sense of detachment, occasionally scrolling through comments and finding humour in them.
“Because I have been in the fraternity for some time, I read some of the comments and laugh. I am a very private person, but as you pointed out, Efua is the one who dragged me into all this,” he said.
As the conversation shifted, he was asked to name something he would never exchange for money. His response turned personal, centring on loyalty within his marriage.
Reinforcing his stance, Aduonum spoke with clear admiration for his wife and underscored his commitment to staying faithful.
“I would never cheat on my wife… not my beautiful Asantewaa,” Kofi Owusu Aduonum stated.
