Wendy Shay has turned attention to the 2026 Telecel Ghana Music Awards, weighing in on the highly competitive “Artiste of the Year” race.
In an X post, the Ghanaian singer made a confident case for herself, insisting that her effort over the past year places her in a strong position for the top prize. She also acknowledged the support she has received from colleagues, media figures, and fans.
“I know everyone is aware that this year’s TGMA Artiste of the Year is me. Thanks to Ghana, SHAYGANG, media personalities, and all the artistes showing me love and advocating for me to win,” she said.
She went further to rally the fanbases of several top Ghanaian acts, urging them to back her bid when voting opens.
“I urge fans of SM, Bhim Nation, Sark Nation, BYK, the Blacko Tribe, and every other fanbase to vote massively for me,” she added.
The 2026 Telecel Ghana Music Awards is set for May 9, 2026.
This year’s Artiste of the Year category features strong contenders, including Stonebwoy, Black Sherif, and Sarkodie, setting up a tightly contested showdown for the night’s biggest honour.
