Tensions between Shatta Wale and Stonebwoy have flared up again, this time over a deeply personal accusation tied to family loss.
The issue resurfaced after Stonebwoy, speaking on Angel FM, claimed that his longtime rival once suggested he was responsible for the death of his mother, Catherine Satekla. He said the allegation has lingered unresolved and continues to stand in the way of any meaningful truce between them.
Shatta Wale has now pushed back firmly. During a TikTok live session on April 8, 2026, he dismissed the claim outright and insisted no such statement ever came from him.
“If I ever said such a thing about Stonebwoy, then someone should prove it, because I do everything on the internet, especially when it comes to entertainment. That screenshot you are referring to, I was addressing Joy FM; it was an old video.
“I wasn’t referring to Stonebwoy. That is why I always say we shouldn’t allow ourselves to be misled by the media,” he said.
He went further, warning Stonebwoy against repeating what he considers a false narrative, arguing that the story misrepresents him and fuels unnecessary hostility.
According to Shatta Wale, the repeated accusation raises questions about intent and fairness.
“He keeps saying this all the time, and I keep asking myself why, because even if I lack sense, I would never make such a statement about someone’s death.
“It’s about time he stopped that, because sometimes when I come across such claims, I wonder what he is trying to achieve. Why does he want people to see me as a bad person?” the ‘Freedom’ composer asked.
